The Merced County Fair
Come kick-off the 2023 Merced County Fair season with us! The Friends of the Merced County Fair Board, Merced County Fair Board and Fair Management formally invite you to kick off the 2023 Fair season with more than 500 members of the community at the Merced County Fair Annual Pre-Party!
Come celebrate and support the Merced County Fair at this fun annual event featuring live music by Scotty Rich, entertainment by stilt walker, Karen Quest, live and silent auctions, raffle items and more! Your ticket includes dinner and a hosted bar. Attendees must be 21 years old.
Tickets are $50 per person. All proceeds go to support the Merced County Fair. Also, this will be your first chance to purchase the always sold-out Preferred Parking Passes! Purchase your tickets at the Fairgrounds’ Administration Office now! No tickets will be sold at the door.

Service Awards Banquet
The Modesto/Stanislaus will hold its 2023 Freedom Fund & Community Service Awards Banquet, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The Banquet location is Modesto Centre Plaza, 1000 L Street, Modesto, CA The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) strives to ensure civil rights for all individuals. For over 113 years, the NAACP has been a leading voice in advocating for equity, diversity, and civil rights. The organization ensures that everyone has the same opportunities and is treated fairly, regardless of race or background. Civil rights for one is civil rights for all—the NAACP and the Modesto/Stanislaus Branch are committed to fighting for the rights of everyone.
Through this event, and with the support from our local community and friends, we hope to raise funds to continue our essential work. Your support also provides the opportunity to demonstrate your partnership in our efforts to promote equality, provide equal accessibility and eliminate discrimination in our local community.

Woodson in 1926, a one week celebration has evolved into a full month of activities and events that reflect the relevance, impact and accomplishments of those who identify as part of the African Diaspora. The Pacific Black Alumni Club invites you to celebrate the end of a great series of Black History Month events put on by Pacific’s Black History Month Committee. We are having a mixer that will include alumni and friends from nearby colleges and universities to join us in this great celebration. Meet new friends, learn Black history facts in our trivia game, win door prizes and more! Refreshments provided by Mad Scientist Creations and Michael’s Heavenly Sweets.

The event is open to the public and will feature a showcase of all of local CTE training programs for high school seniors in the program and anyone else interested in starting a new career.
Thank you Central Valley Opportunity Center (CVOC), Gateway Adult Education Network (GAEN), Merced College, Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) and Merced Union High School District (MUHSD) for your partnership and collaboration for this event.
