The Courthouse Museum and Merced Chapter NAACP honors Firefighters

Chief Derek Parker, left, Firefighter Griffin Batson, center, and Deputy Chief Baraka Carter, right, were honored at the Black History program on February 17, 2024 at the Merced County Courthouse Museum. As the Merced City Fire Department exhibit came to an end, the legacy of Merced’s African American firefighters continues.
