The Merced County Human Services Agency recognizes the essential and critical role mothers have within the family unit and society. It is often stated that mothers are the backbone of the family, so their importance cannot be understated. They are also a powerful force for social cohesion and integration. The mother-child relationship is vital for the healthy growth and development of the child.
In today’s reality, mothers are not just caregivers; they are often the family breadwinners which can create even more challenges to motherhood. Whether a new mom or a working mom, the All Moms Matter program is designed to offer that needed support, encouragement, and education so the necessary “tools” are available in the “toolbelt” to assist with maneuvering the early stages of parenthood. In addition, we can also make referrals to available community resources and services, such as transportation.
Upcoming Event
In celebration of moms everywhere, the All Moms Matter program will be hosting an event, Giving Mom Her Flowers, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Applegate Park, 1045 W. 25th Street in Merced.
There will be activities for the kids, free rides at Kiddieland, and a great time for all! Please come join us as we recognize and honor mothers, motherhood, and their positive contributions to society.
