Darin DuPont is a Merced County native, born and raised, whose family has long ties to the Merced community. Being born and raised in Merced, Darin has learned that the community works hard for their accomplishments, and this is instilled in every person.
After graduating from Buhach Colony High School, Darin attended Merced College before transferring and attending George Mason University in Northern Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Public Policy, Darin strived to become the first in his family to obtain a graduate degree by applying to law school. Darin achieved that goal by attending the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, graduating in 2021 with a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Water and Environmental Law and a concentration in Public Policy/Government Law.

Water Security
Protect the Valley’s future by expanding water storage, improving infrastructure, and supporting local water projects.
Accountability & Balance
Restore transparency and bring balance back to Sacramento by ending one-party control, increasing oversight, and ensuring government works for the people.
