The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has waived guard/forward DeMar DeRozan.
Acquired during the 2024 offseason, DeRozan appeared in 154 games over two seasons with Sacramento, averaging 20.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 33.6 minutes per game.
A 17-year veteran, DeRozan holds career averages of 21.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 34.5 minutes in 1,264 games with Toronto (2009-18), San Antonio (2018-21), Chicago (2021-24) and Sacramento (2024-26). DeRozan ranks fifth among all active players in scoring and 16th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 26,711 points. He also ranks 11th on the NBA’s all-time free throws made list with 6,923.
